Antonio is a PhD in Digital Humanities, specialized archaeologist, an entrepreneur, an expert in manuscripts and digitization and co-founder of Academy Pills.
Antonio is currently collaborating at the University of Naples Suor Orsola Benincasa as assistant professor of Medieval History and Medieval Latin Literature.
Antonio worked in the Naples unit of the large national project ALIM, where the Italian medieval literary heritage written in Latin was codified and digitized.
Antonio has been also working with the CNR – Centro Nazionale delle Ricerche – of Florence, managing the digitization of manuscripts and the scientific dissemination of Europeana, the digital platform of the European Community for culture.
Antonio has always joined his research activity to that of archaeologist in the field.
He has conducted archaeological excavations of classical and medieval times throughout the Mediterranean, in archaeological sites such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, Pollena Trocchia and San Vincenzo al Volturno, contributing to their knowledge with scientific publications.
